Absorbable Surgical Suture

Suitable for soft tissue suturing where absorbable sutures are indicated.The product is a sterile, braided multifilament absorbable suture composed of polyglactin 910 (a copolymer of 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide).The suture coating is a mixture of equal parts of polyglactin 370 (glycolide/lactide copolymer) and calcium stearate.

The suture is dyed violet (D&C Violet No. 2).

Absorption time: 56–70 days.

The product includes needled and non‑needled sutures.Some models feature black needles, some are equipped with blunt needles (ground finish), and some use detachable needles (needle can be directly removed from the suture).
